Do we really need a partner?

Do we need a partner in our life? Is there no life without getting married or finding the right person to live our lives with? Well, at least that’s what we have been told since childhood. Movies, tv shows, novels— everything leads up to this one thing, a perfect partner!

The millennials are different from this, at least I am. I don’t need a partner to be happy. I have a life of my own and I am glad. Honestly, I miss that love part sometimes, someone I could open up my heart with but then I see my career, my family, and the routine I have in my life which I don’t want to shatter for anything.

Speaking to my friends who already are in a relationship is also too depressing. None, I repeat, none of them is in a happy relationship and they know that they will have to break up at some point to find a new one in life, the perfect one. Only if it exists!

Some people pretend to be happy but I just need one deep conversation with them to get the truth out. And anyway there is no chemistry without some exceptions.

Honestly, I wouldn’t mind meeting someone who is serious about her career but then where will she be looking for guys in the world? Tinder? Bumble? Hinge? I doubt that. She must already be living a meaningful life doing things she loves! Building a career she is proud of and eventually, I’ll be too and then maybe one day we will meet and share that happiness with each other, IF DESTINED.

My relationship status till then — not looking out for one!
